Indeed, The Sun Also Rises, the pheonix rebirths, and human nature's default? Hindsight reveals our certain capacity for continual adjustment and adaptation. Considering the rich field of brain plasticity and relearning, we could even say our greatest human asset, neurologically speaking, is our capacity for "rewirement!"
Here, we consciously consider "Being Rewired."
"...harms kids" is such a loaded statement. And here being "rewired" means we claim the space and time to function/examine issues from a commitment to interdependency (We live in a web of needs and strengths and resources to share).
This means we are free from using manipulative language -there is nothing we choose to advertise, no position to force, no pressure to coerce. Here are some pieces to work with: Unions were needed to protect the livelihood of those not being cared for in ways that corporate owners/managers would choose to live. The great majority of teachers enter the profession because they care about kids, learning, kid's success in life now and later. Teachers are pretty altruistic people. Kids families are their first teachers. Let's help homes do their job first...front-loading skills is where we create the greatest leverage!
